Bower helps you save places and plan trips. This page explains what we collect to do that, who helps us, and the choices you have.
What we collect
Your account: your email address, and your name and email from Sign in with Apple or Google if you use them.
What you put in Bower: saved places and the links to posts you share with it, trips, notes, the people you invite, chats with Bower, photos you send in a chat, and voice you record to talk to it.
Bookings: if you connect Gmail or forward confirmation emails, we read booking emails (flights, hotels, restaurants) to add them to your trips. We don't read other mail.
Device and usage: a push notification token, the app version and language, and anonymous usage events that help us fix and improve the app.
How we use it
To run Bower: reading the places out of posts, planning and editing trips, answering your chats, reminding you on the day and showing your trips in widgets and Live Activities. We don't sell your data and don't use it for advertising.
Who helps us
We use service providers that process data for us: Google Cloud and Cloudflare (hosting), AI model providers through OpenRouter (planning and chat), speech recognition providers (voice), Google Maps Platform and Open-Meteo (places, routes and weather), TikHub (reading public posts you share), Resend (sign-in emails), Apple (sign-in, purchases and notifications) and PostHog (usage analytics). They may only use it to provide their service to us.
Sharing
People you invite to a trip can see and edit it. A share link shows a read-only copy of a trip to anyone who has the link, until you turn it off.
Keeping and deleting
We keep your data while you have an account. You can delete your account in Settings › Account; that deletes your trips, saves and chats from our servers, apart from records we must keep by law (such as purchase records).
Children
Bower isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll tell you in the app before it takes effect.
